Over the years I have found the best way and sometimes only way to express certain things is through photography. Most of the time I am a person of few words and photography for me becomes my voice. I enjoy documenting unforgettable moments in a quiet unobtrusive way creating a photojournalistic story of the events transpiring in front of my lens. Don't get me wrong, in the numerous years I've been photographing weddings (prior to digital), not that many years:) I've gotten very, very, good at traditional style photography, which entails directing, posing, and having a very loud voice if necessary. If you're concerned your unruly groomsmen will not cooperate for pictures, don't worry, I will succeed in getting them organized for group portrait sessions.
I enjoy capturing images that create question or multiple scenarios that can be contemplated by the viewer. I feel a piece of me, of who I am, is left in every image I record. I believe a photograph pondered over gives it true life and meaning. I realize a portrait when accomplished correctly is the gateway to ones soul, it is important for the subject to be unaware of the outside world and become fully relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings. I strive for this outcome in every photo shoot I participate in.
Upon graduating from New York Institute of Photography in 1998 I have been blessed to participate in thousands of Weddings and Portrait sessions across the country as well as Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. I am very grateful for all the opportunities I have been honored with and look forward to continue challenging our company to be at the forefront of our profession.
